Karla hid from her own family so they wouldn't see her injuries, and Diego even managed to make her stop going to the gym (an activity she deeply loved. Karla endured this situation for three years, until in 2025, she decided to end the relationship definitively. She attempted to return to her normal life, but Diego could not tolerate it and persisted in the harassment, intensifying both the persecution and the threats. The Tragic Night On Friday, October 24, Diego contacted her again to insult her. Karla was lying in bed in her pajamas. Around 2 a.m., she began receiving calls and messages in which Diego continued to degrade her and bombard her with insults. Among them, he sent direct threats: if Karla did not kill herself, he would dismember her brother and kill her mother. At 3 a.m., Karla started a TikTok Live. Before doing so, she had tied a rope to her window. She also sent a message to a friend saying: "I'd rather kill myself than let him kill my mom and my brother." This message shows that Karla truly believed Diego was capable of carrying out his threats. While she was live-streaming and attempting to take her life, Karla's friends began calling her mother in a panic, warning her that Karla was hanging herself at that very instant. Unfortunately, they were unable to reach her in time. After Her Death Following Karla's death, Diego's threats continued, this time directed at her brother, who began receiving intimidating messages from him.
