Shortly after his fall, he was struck by his own motorcycle and then by the bike of fellow rider Ayumu Sasaki while other riders were still approaching at high speed. The session was immediately stopped. 🚑 Medical teams treated him trackside for about half an hour before he was airlifted by helicopter to Careggi University Hospital in Florence, Italy. He underwent surgery for a chest vascular injury and a severe brain injury.
