According to initial reports, the aggressor took the victim from a nightclub in the northern part of the city after an argument and drove her to a parking lot, where he tied her to the back of his car. He then drove along busy city avenues, such as Avenida Ayrton Senna and sections of the Marginal Tietê highway, dragging the woman for several kilometers. The violence resulted in severe mutilation. The victim lost both feet and suffered serious disfigurement to her face and various parts of her body. Drivers and residents who witnessed the body being dragged by the vehicle were shocked and immediately called the police and emergency services. The young woman was rescued in critical condition and taken to a hospital in the São Paulo metropolitan area, where she remains hospitalized. The aggressor fled after abandoning the victim and is being sought by the Civil Police, who are investigating the case as attempted femicide. Security camera footage from the avenues where the crime occurred is being analyzed to map the route and strengthen the evidence against the suspect. The brutality of the crime once again exposes the reality of violence affecting women throughout the country.
