On October 9th 2015 Islamic State militants took full control of multiple towns and villages north of Aleppo, one of these was Tal Qarah (تل قراح). After they seized the mosque they killed the Imam known as Muhammad Tabsho (محمد طبشو) who was also a leader in the Levant Front and the Assad Regime Syrian Forces, on October 10th 2015. The video showed a black kid with a british accent murdering him. Later, on December 29 2015 the Islamic State showed an interview with Muhammad Tabsho and on 5th February 2016 they released the execution video.
