News of the alleged comments spread quickly throughout the factory and the surrounding community, sparking outrage among workers and residents. Dipu was brutally beaten by a mob and, according to eyewitnesses, died at the scene. Following his death, the violence escalated. The mob dragged his body to a nearby bus stop, tied it to a tree, continued to assault it while chanting slogans, and finally set it on fire. The remains were later taken to the Dhaka-Mymensingh road.
