what if you don’t say ‘I accept Islam again’?” actually proves you STILL don’t understand the issue. The point was never forcing belief belief can’t be forced and Islam openly says that. The point is public harm, not your internal conviction. If you insist on continuing a public declaration that spreads doubt and destabilizes a Muslim society you chose to live in, then yes,there is a capital punishment, the law keeps moving forward because the system isn’t reacting to your thoughts, it’s reacting to the damage you’re actively causing to others. Laws don’t wait for harm to finish destroying society before acting; they prevent it while it’s happening. If someone just wants to leave, they can leave quietly or leave the state and no one touches them. The only time it even becomes a legal matter is when you stay, speak publicly, influence people who aren’t knowledgeable, and create confusion on purpose. At that point you’re no longer just “not believing,” you’re actively interfering with the faith and stability of others. And that still has absolutely NOTHING to do with killing innocent people.

Leaving privately? Nothing happens. The Qur’an literally mentions people leaving and returning with zero punishment. The ruling is ONLY about someone publicly announcing it inside a Muslim society surrounded by Muslims, under Muslim law and purposely risking destabilizing the community. You’re not announcing it in your bedroom; you’re doing it in front of ordinary people who may not be knowledgeable, who might get confused, start doubting, and follow you blindly. You’re basically saying “Islam is false” out loud in the middle of a society that’s built its laws, stability, identity, and moral structure on it. What do you think that causes? It creates chaos, doubt, division that’s why it’s treated differently. And even then you’re STILL not punished instantly. Scholars talk to you, answer you, give you days, weeks, months. If at any moment you say “I accept Islam again,” it stops. You can literally even pretend and leave the country safely. If Islam just “wanted to kill apostates,” why give chances at all? Why delay anything? Why debate you? Clearly the rule exists to protect people you’re misleading, not to kill “innocent” people because someone publicly attacking the foundation of the society they live in is NOT “innocent.” , if you really had questions or doubts, you'd go speak to scholars privately like any normal person We’re not gonna wait until the damage happens until people lose their faith, risk their salvation, and the community is destabilized and only then apply punishment; that’s why it’s treated seriously beforehand.
