You don't understand the physics involved here. There is no amount of insulation that can prevent you getting struck by lightening. The only way to reduce or negate the effects of a strike is to provide an easier track for the electricity to follow. This is why tall structures are fitted with lightening conductors. You mentioned aircraft. Aircraft (not avionics) are not affected by lightening strikes, not because they are remote from the ground but because the metal fuselage offers no resistance. The lightening doesn't hit the aircraft and stop. It simply uses it as as staging point and carries on to the grounding point. It is well understood that metal masted boats whose masts are earthed to the sea are unafftected by lightening strikes but a metal mast that is insulated can result in catastrophic damage to the stepping point. A man standing naked and soaking wet in a sodden field has a better chance of surviving a strike than a dry, fully clothed man standing on dry ground.

The voltages concerned in a lightening bolt are many thousands and it really doesn't give shit about a rubber sole shoe (it happily tracks through stone buildings) - if the lightening decides that you will be it's first point of contact, you're getting it, rubber soles or not. What will happen, is that the rubber (or similar) soles will create a resistance that will result in extreme heat, as in vaporise the skin on your feet type heat.
