The grandmother, identified as Carlota, fatally shot two men and injured a teenage boy in what she claimed to be an act of self-defense. The confrontation unfolded on Wednesday April 2nd, 2025 in the Ex Hacienda de Guadalupe housing unit in Chalco, State of Mexico. Carlota, accompanied by her son and daughter, arrived in a gray Ford Fiesta and confronted the squatters. She had previously talked to the squatters but they refused to leave the house as they alleged someone had rented the home to them, the authorities didn't help much either so Carlota and family took matters into their own hands. Carlota (74) has since been released from prison and put on house arrest due to health concerns after a year long legal battle. Since then Carlota has gathered support from the general public and victims of scumbag squatters in Mexico.
