Tragically, she was hit by a southbound SIM4C bus and suffered fatal injuries. The impact caused her to be dragged for a short distance, resulting in immediate fatality. Reports indicate that she sustained severe head trauma and had her leg severed from the force of the collision.

An eyewitness named Aaron Sepulveda shared that the woman had attempted to reach the other side of the street before the traffic light changed to red but was unable to avoid being struck.

“Body parts went flying everywhere. It is definitely traumatizing for everyone on the bus. They all ran off the bus. They were screaming, crying—real emotional situation,” “There was no helping her. She was gone.” said Sepulveda.

The bus driver involved in the incident remained at the scene, cooperating with the authorities. The NYPD Highway District Collision squad has taken charge of the investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the tragic event.
